What is Songfind?

Songfind is an enquiry automatically sent to the licencing departments of all AMPAL publisher members enabling users to enquire about songs for their projects. Use the Songfind form to enter details of the song or type of song you're looking for. Your enquiry will then be forwarded to our publisher members who'll get back to you if they have something that fits your criteria. Songfind is a free service to connect professional music users with AMPAL publisher members.

I'm trying to find the publisher of a particular song, can Songfind help me?

Yes, just fill in all the details you know about the song in the Songfind enquiry form and the relevant publisher will contact you.

I filled in a Songfind form some time ago, why haven't I had a response?

Publishers are very busy and receive hundreds of requests daily, so they may not have got to your request yet. On the other hand, they might not have a song to suit your project and so are unable to help you. You might like to re-submit your form with different criteria.
 
How do I get a mechanical license for a CD I'm making?
 
AMPAL's Songfind is aimed at assisting music users locate appropriate songs for audiovisual production purposes. Mechanical reproductions (eg. CD recordings) are usually licensed through collection societies such as APRA/AMCOS so you will need to contact them direct for this kind of license.

I am in the USA and want to license a song for a CD or production, who do I contact?

Songfind is for those who want to license songs for Productions that originate in Australia and New Zealand. If you are based in the USA and want to license a song, you will need to contact the American representative of the relevant publisher. For example, Hillsong Publishing is sub-published in the USA by Integrity Music, so for mechanical or synchronisation licenses you would need to contact them.
